Role Overview
As a frontier AI lab, our organizational structure is lean, but our ambitions are vast. We are seeking a visionary and highly connected Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.
For this role, capital raising is the lifeline. While you will oversee all traditional financial management, treasury, and compliance functions, your absolute priority will be driving continuous capital inflow and managing investor relations. You will be the financial architect of our growth, ensuring MiroMind has the resources required to push the boundaries of AI reasoning.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Fundraising (Primary Focus): Lead and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies for Series A, Series B, and subsequent rounds. Actively engage and negotiate with institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and strategic corporate venture capital.
Investor Relations Management: Cultivate and maintain deep, long-term relationships with existing and prospective investors. Serve as the primary financial spokesperson for the company, articulating our unique value proposition in the frontier AI space.
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies tailored to the lightweight, high-impact operational model of a frontier AI lab. Optimize capital allocation to support intensive R&D efforts.
Treasury & Compliance: Oversee global treasury operations, cash flow management, and financial risk mitigation. Ensure rigorous financial compliance across our operating jurisdictions (US, Singapore, Japan) and coordinate closely with external legal counsel.
Requirements
Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, investment banking, or corporate development.
Background: An Investment Banking background is strongly preferred from top-tier institutions.
Fundraising Track Record: Proven experience in successfully raising capital for technology or AI companies.
Network: Established, active relationships with top-tier Venture Capital firms and Sovereign Wealth Funds.
Language: Fully bilingual in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with our global stakeholders and investors.
Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly.
Bonus Points
Previous experience serving as a CFO or VP of Finance at a high-growth, deep-tech, or AI startup.
A strong understanding of the AI landscape, compute infrastructure economics, and the specific financial dynamics of frontier research labs.
